Top Marks for Mason Infotech Customer Service Manager

May 17th, 2012

Congratulations to Paul Elmore, Customer Service Manager at Mason Infotech, passed the ACIS-Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist exam with flying colours. Whilst Mason Infotech have always been proud of their pass rates, last week set a new president with Paul gaining a 96% pass rate. The really unfortunate thing for Paul was, that as soon as he left the pressure of the exam environment, he knew where he had lost the remaining 4%!

Business Briefing with Vernon Coaker, MP

May 10th, 2012

We’ll be meeting up with Vernon Coaker, MP for Gedling on Friday 11th May for a breakfast briefing organised by Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce.

The main discussion will be around the impact of spending cuts, spiralling red tape, finance (lack of) for small business , skills shortages and any local issues we want to table.  Any thoughts on topics that we could raise on your behalf?

So what can Unified Communications do for you?

May 2nd, 2012

There is an incredible amount of hype about Unified Communications, Unified Networks, convergence and technologies such as virtualisation and hosted computing.
Does it really mean anything to you and your business? Well, the chances are that it may well start to impact now as the technologies mature. We have found a very useful guide on Unified Communications from Avaya that explains the core benefits in an easily digestable, non technical manner. We have also placed a short video on the page to demonstrate the lighter side of Unified Communications for your amusement.

Golf Day raises £2,500.00 for Maggie’s

April 30th, 2012

A very big thank you to all those who attended and contributed to the Mayor of Rushcliffe’s Golf day (sponsored by Mason Infotech) on Friday 27th April.  We had 22 four balls playing a very wet 18 holes at the Nottinghamshire, Cotgrave. Honours were evenly shared across a number of teams but the real winner on the day was the Mayor’s charity, Maggie’s, receiving over £2,500.00 from the day’s efforts. A very big thank you to all of those who donned the waterproofs and braved the elements to play. Many thanks also to the organisers and staff and groundsman at the Nottinghamshire, who contributed to the day’s success.

Videos Showcase Avaya IP Office Release 8 Software

April 18th, 2012

We’ve just added a range of short videos to our website that explain all the benefits of the Avaya IP Office, Release 8 software.

Everything is covered from system management through to system and end user features, including mobility and Unified Communications. The Avaya IP Office is by far the most flexible system we know. The Office Worker, Teleworker and Mobile Worker apps are capable of revolutionising the way we work.

New desktop IP Office plug-ins bring embedded communications into business productivity applications, giving users greater flexibility in their communications. They can use federated presence to move Google Talk and IP Office contacts into the one-X Portal for IP Office, a communications portal for business.

They can also make phone calls from a Salesforce.com page and use voicemail within their Outlook email window.

You would normally only expect to find this type of functionality on much larger systems.
