Microsoft Copilot - The Most Powerful Productivity Tool on the Planet?

09/11/2023

What is Microsoft Copilot?

Microsoft Copilot launched for Enterprise users at the beginning of November, and is available to SME business in 2024. This means that for our IT support customers, we are able to offer Copilot licenses and managed support from now.

Microsoft have launched Copilot as an AI personal assistant that sits inside an organisation's Microsoft environment and uses LLM technology to streamline tasks, automate workflows, and enhance collaborations for all kinds of teams.

Copilot works on a prompt system, similar to other LLM applications like Chat GPT. A user can prompt Copilot to summarise content from Teams meetings or an email chain, highlight key topics, or draft an email to team members. The key difference between an external app and Copilot is that Microsoft's tool sits within your IT environment, which means it can interact with your data in real time.

What does this mean for Mason Infotech customers?

If you're a client that utilises our managed IT support for small business package, you'll be able to take advantage of Microsoft copilot from launch in 2024. By adding Copilot to your Microsoft license, you'll have access to Copilot's full capabilities, saving you time and increasing your creative capabilities.

What's more, Mason Infotech is able to offer fully managed IT support for Copilot users, which includes prompt engineering training, security consultancy and coaching for AI accreditations.
