Avaya Enforce Licensing Regime

20/02/2019

Avaya have recently announced that all Avaya Pre Release 10 licenses will become 'end of life' effective on June 10th this year.

This doesn't mean that the systems will suddenly stop working! It will however mean that we can only support these systems at a local level and that no further licenses will be available for changes or modifications.

Avaya are undertaking this change for a variety of reasons. The principal objective of the change is to ensure all Avaya IP Office systems (globally) remain on the two most current software releases. It also allows Avaya to accommodate all new license requirements with one licensing system, a much needed change to simplify management of the system in operation.

To ease the burden of this change Avaya are offering a free upgrade to Release 11 subject to clients acquiring a three or five year Avaya IPOS support contract. There are a number of older hardware and functional applications being retired as part of this upgrade. Again, Avaya are offering generous amounts of assistance to help clients through this change.
