Established in 1706 under the archway at St Marys Church in Nottingham, the principle of 'every child deserves opportunity, dignity and a chance to learn ' was established and delivered to children who would otherwise have been denied access to education.

The archway, as a symbol of welcome, hope and possibility remain central to the Trusts identity today, over 300 years later. Today, Archway educates children aged four to eighteen across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, serving diverse communities with shared purpose and ambition.

Mason Infotech commenced trading with Archway (Bluecoat at the time) when support was required with an existing telephony system back in 2008. We pro-actively supported the on-site system, expanding utilisation across multiple academies. In 2024 we replaced the onsite solution with our hosted voice platform which now serves the whole of the Trust.

Our experience with Archway prior to the move to hosted services and our knowledge of the education sector in general provided us with a deep understanding of the requirements that needed to be met by any new solution.

Our Solution

Delivered using Microsoft and Cisco technologies and utilising a management platform developed over the last two decades, our hosted voice solution provides multiple user options using standard telephones, softphones and meeting room solutions. User adoption is facilitated with familiar, intuitive options.

The core technologies we have used literally serve millions of users worldwide and continue to be invested in. AI adoption and security are at the forefront of developments, aiding safeguarding as recording and translation facilities develop as part of most AI journeys.

The management of the system retains the same intuitive approach, aiding integration and facilitating user and operational management to promote and maintain service to all users whilst keeping the solution as cost effective as possible.

We've been working with Archway for a considerable time now and have been able to develop our understanding of the needs of the multi academy trust. Organising implementations to reduce downtime and ensure a smooth adoption has been very important in the adoption of the service which is now serving close to 600 users.
