Avaya's purchase of Nortel Enterprise Solutions (NES) and Nortel Government Solutions (NGS) was completed on 18-December-2009. We believe this acquisition will bring significant benefits to our clients, both now and in the future.
The addition of the Nortel Enterprise Solutions portfolio will accelerate innovation by bringing together two companies with a shared commitment to deliver new, fresh, and market-leading solutions. The broader portfolio will enhance Avaya’s research and development funding, which fuels innovation and translates directly into providing creative solutions for customer needs.
Avaya now supports a combined customer base of over 100 million voice lines and 33% IP telephony market share and is committed to developing innovations based on customers’ needs. Client investments will be protected and supported: The new Avaya will continue to sell existing Avaya and NES products for the next 12 to 18 months and honour all existing support agreements as set forth in customer contracts.
Avaya will announce the new combined product roadmap on 20-January-2010.
