Choosing the right provider for all your business phone service requirements can be crucial to your business. Despite the proliferation of emails, text and chat, we still use the phone extensively for all of our business communications.

Which business phone service provider?

Business phone services aren't complicated to understand, providing a local support desk that can help you with any enquiries you may have, along with hassle free billing and account administration is one area that sets us apart from our competitors. We are so confident in our ability to offer value for money, we will match any genuine deal our competitors are offering.

There are a number of options as follows:

An Analogue Line

An analogue line is the voice-grade telephone service that remains the basic form of many small business service connections to the telephone network in many parts of the world.

Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is a set of communications standards for simultaneous digital transmission of voice, video, data, and other network services over the traditional circuits of the public switched telephone network.

The key feature of ISDN is that it integrates speech and data on the same lines, adding features that were not available with a plain old telephone system.

ISDN lines come in two variants; ISDN2 and ISDN30. The number relates to the number of channels each service can provide. You can start at only 8 channels on an ISDN30. Both variants carry all the same features, including direct dial in, calling line identity and number presentation.

A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) connection is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service offered by many Internet telephony service providers (ITSPs) that connects a company's private branch exchange (PBX) telephone system to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) via the Internet. A relatively new service, SIP connections or "trunks" are often provided over Broadband and can suffer from congestion and poor quality of service.

Using a SIP connection could simplify administration for your business as it typically uses the same Internet access that is used for data. This often removes the need to install Basic Rate Interface (BRI) or Primary Rate Interface (PRI) telephone circuits.
